On Tuesday, September 20, Mrs Aisha Buhari took to her Twitter account to share a photo of herself poised and smiling with the American first lady, Michelle Obama at her Broadway event put together to help girls in New York City.
Considering the fact that Fayose has alleged that the First lady was wanted in the United states of America in connection with the Halliburton bribery scandal, Mrs Buhari’s latest Instagram post was definitely unexpected and a slap on the face.
As if that was not bad enough, the ace comedian decided to rub it in by sharing the same photo via his Instagram page on Tuesday, September 20, commenting:
“Is that not the same Mrs Buhari that is wanted? They will soon arrest her… Or is that not what one South West Governor told us? We are watching… Or she now has First Lady immunity? Wetin me I know SEF.”
Since Fayose is known for his propensity for sharing his opinion concerning every and any issue, this put down is bound to do very little to put him in his place.
We can all wait with bated breaths for a new twist to the Halliburton bribery scandal allegations levelled against Mrs Buhari.

Media personality, Toke Makinwa is the cover star for the debut issue of Fame Extra Magazine.

With an editorial spread tagged The Rebirth, Toke talks about her dating life, misconceptions about marriage and more.
On being single and dating again, Toke tells Fame Extra, “It’s tricky! It’s exactly like learning to ride a bike again but I think I am doing very well. Of course you get the initial stumble and fall off but the key is to accept that things are different now and that’s ok. My first date after my separation, I cried on my way home as I couldn’t believe I was back dating again, the stress and joys of getting to know someone again, the excruciating pain of the past and the will to trust another again.
I am having a lot of fun right now.”

Talking about people’s misapprehension about marriage, “People are not honest enough! You are told to keep quiet about everything like showing a sign of ‘all is not well’ automatically means you have a bad marriage. The thing is, everyone struggles, no situation is perfect and if people walked around with a little bit of honesty about their situation, a lot of marriages might survive. Religion is also a very big problem, God is involved in Marriage and he has also blessed us with the capacity to think and make decisions for ourselves so people need to be less religious and more aware of His love. There will be way less judgement.”

The media personality who recently revealed she has never been this happy in years and is feeling great told the publication, “So much goes on in a home and you are told to keep mute, keep taking, pray till your knees get dark from kneeling (which is a good thing, don’t get me wrong), but a lot of people lose who they are trying to keep with all of these mandates that doesn’t always work. I am not saying you should go around telling everyone your business but I feel if we had more people open up about their struggles and a society that is less judgmental, people will begin to appreciate the beauty of seeing two people work at staying together and realising the sheer amount of work required on both sides.”

I think it’s high time we re evaluated our belief system. Jesus handed very clear instructions to his disciples; Mark 6:7-8 KJV
[7] And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; [8] And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:
Remember, we are what we believe; mere puppets in the hands of the people who create those beliefs. Modern day slavery goes way beyond bars, chains and handcuffs, be wise Nigerians, be extra careful who you allow into your mind! “

Since 2015, THEY have been involved in an online war of words, shades and subs.
The bad blood came to a head last week when the radio presenter posted an old photo of him with Basketmouth’s wife. The photo was quickly deleted but it triggered rumours of Freeze being fired from Cool FM.
In an exclusive interview with the veteran media personality, Freeze spoke about what started his rift with Basketmouth.
“You see there’s a point in the conversation that I cannot have for legal reasons, but there was an alliance that was broken and Basketmouth took the other side or it appeared to me that he did, and he never gave me a call. This is my guy, he never gave me a call to say why did you do this or why did you not do this and I felt slightly slighted” revealed Freeze.
The OAP spoke about how he and Basketmouth started off together many years ago as humble men in search of success. “I remember when he was driving a Jetta and I was driving a golf. I am talking about 20-year-old cars basically.“
“Also, I have to give it to him he was part of my story. He encouraged when there wasn’t much encouragement. So I hate to hear all the stories that I am hearing about me and him” he further said.
Freeze, however, says if Basketmouth takes a shot at him he will retaliate. “Unfortunately, if you come after me I will come after you. I am reactive, with him, I am reactive, with most things to I am reactive. I am not pro-active but just know that for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. As long as he keeps…I mean you saw the shade the other day. Like really? But he is my guy, he is a great guy and I love him to death” said the OAP.
Earlier in his interview, Freeze said he was not fired from Cool FM despite rumours last weekend.

News of his sack was first published over the weekend on Saturday, August 27, 2016 when sites claimed the controversial personality was sacked as a result of his public feud with comedian, Basketmouth.
The OAP however on Saturday, August 27, 2016 disclosed that though there are issues over presenters’ fees in the organisation, and he wasn’t going to divulge details out of the respect he has for his boss, Amin Mousalli.
“Yes, there are issues stemming from a meeting over presenters fees yesterday, details of which I choose not to discuss, because of the respect I have for Mr Moussalli and his family and Coolfm, but trust me, it has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Basket mouth or social media,” he said.
Close inspection shows that his profile has been removed from the company’s website and the management has gone ahead to profile Freeze’s co-host Kaylah as the only host of the show “Road Show“.
Born Ifedayo Olarinde, Freeze is one of Nigeria’s famous OAPs that has ruled the airwaves for over a decade and has shared his opinion about many issues, earning him a reputation as a controversial man.
Singer, songwriter and producer Cobhams Asuquo is the cover star of the latest issue of Guardian Life magazine. In the magazine, the father of one talks about his production process, his drive for music and so much more.
Read excerpts below.
On his drive to make music: I think music in itself has a pull, and when it gets you, there’s no choice but to do its bidding. For me, it starts from there. When you’re musically inclined, and you have an ear for music, you hear things and you feel the need to express them. When you understand the technicalities of proper music expression, you want to express it. Otherwise, it just feels like you aren’t doing what you know you should. The other thing that drives me to continue to make music is the thought of seeing something move from a place of thought or an idea to a finished work; the process of it is exciting to me. I’m also driven by what I hear and what I want to hear. There are certain things I hear and find inspiring and there are certain things I here and wonder how in the world they got to the radio and airwaves generally. There are certain things I want to hear and feel like I have the skill set to create what I want to hear; to influence what I want to hear. I also think that I’m driven to create music because I see music as a tool, you can say and influence so much with the music that you create or produce. I think it’s one of the deepest forms of expression given to man; it’s the one form of expression that man and God share.
On his production process: My production process is interesting. Just like everything great, it starts with an idea; with me wanting to know and understand the personality of the artist, breaking down their personalities in my head. It’s a process that’s very psychological as much as it’s musical; we’re talking mannerism, expressions, vocal range, message, musicianship, and persona. We’re talking about all that the musician is, me having to understand this, and using it to create a piece that is a reflection of the person for whom we’re creating the music. It moves from that thought to conceptualizing either by myself or with the musician what melodies that I feel will evoke the right measure of emotion. It progresses from there to building the music [all of this in my head], and getting in the studio and fleshing the music while sitting behind the piano or playing the guitar and then from there we begin the process of sequencing or creating the music either with a band or with a DAW and it progresses from there to getting the artist to the studio to voice on the created music. There’s an interaction with myself and the artist on how comfortable the artist is in the space that they’re voicing, what’s important to them when they voice, creating the right environment for them to voice, getting the right emotions out of them while doing several takes, creating a compilation of the best takes, which is kind of what you do with photography, and sending to the sound engineer to ensure it is properly mixed and mastered and the final work is acceptable.
On how Nigerians are receptive to his music: I think Nigerians are not responsive to a lot of music I feature because we have the radio, and the gate keepers control what we absorb and consider to be music. A lot of the time, what gets heavy rotation is what people want to hear on the radio, and in the clubs, and they become the standard while everything else becomes alternative. For example, Waje released a song Koko Baby with Diamond Platnumz, which is a great song that can sit anywhere with songs from Flavor or anyone else. But because it was by Waje, who people consider to be an alternative artist, it made it to alternative charts as it wasn’t considered a popular or “Jollof” song. I think Nigerians respond to what we are fed by the radio, and TV, and a lot of the people who create the music which is now considered alternative either don’t have the means or don’t know how to put it in the right spaces where they could be heard. If you think about it, Adekunle Gold, Simi, and Aramide, are people who are blessed with the opportunities and means to put their music out there and are doing great things while getting into the “Jollof space” without having to compromise. I think, our gate keepers have a role to play in introducing Nigerians to variety because music isn’t just made of Jollof music which I love and make sometimes if I absolutely must. But I also think that, radio stations, TV stations and people who control the blogger-sphere have a role to play in helping Nigerians who have different taste pallets feel a sense of inclusion but also including the rest of Nigeria to this kind of music. If you think about it, we are one the biggest consumers of ballads besides Korea and a bunch of others. For a long time, we loved Celine Dion, Brian McKnight, West Life and the rest. We are still those people, and it’s just a question of what the media is feeding us as a people and how this is slowly defining us and our tastes.

Dabota Lawson, an ex beauty queen, and the former wife of Nigerian billionaire, Sunny Aku, has been accused by a cosmetics company, Natural Dermis Skin Care, of imitating one of their products.
According to Lailasblog, a representative of the company revealed that the organisation chose to make the development public before pursuing a legal action against Lawson.
Reports have it that Lawson’s version of the product goes with the brand name, Dabota Lighter.
She allegedly used the exact design, packaging and font style of the complainant to create her product.
This looks like bad karma for Lawson, who also accused reality television star, Kylie Jenner, of making an adulterated version of her lipstick product.
Last year, the internet shared the story of Nigerian-born animator, Roye Okupe, and his comic book story – E.X.O: The Legend of Wale Williams – a super hero story set in futuristic Nigeria.
This week, his story was shared on The Washington Post.
Here is an excerpt from the feature:
Okupe, now 31, arrived in the United States in 2002, attending George Washington University and earning a bachelors and master’s degree in computer science in 2007 and 2009. In between those degrees he took a class in animation at the Art Institute of Washington. After college, while working as a web developer for International Software Systems in Greenbelt, Md., Okupe was able to put together an eight-minute animated trailer featuring his first superhero creation, Wale Williams, a young, 20-something Nigerian who suits up in high-tech armor to become the African superhero E.X.O. (Endogenic Xoskeletal Ordnance).
Okupe shopped his trailer to distributors, television networks and investors for a year and got nowhere. One movie producer even told him that E.X.O. looked interesting, but he should think about changing the race of the character.
“That was a down period for me. I really had to dig into believing in myself that I could actually get this done,” Okupe told The Washington Post’s Comic Riffs. “Hearing that from someone who was in the [entertainment] industry, I almost took it for the gospel. But if you have a dream, it’s your responsibility to make it happen and then people will join the bandwagon once you start to get some recognition.”

In June 2016, rumours began to surface that Nigerian pop star Wizkid, 26 and American singer Justine Skye, 20 had started dating.

The singer took to Instagram yesterday, August 24, 2016, sending a shout out to Justine Skye. “Happy birthday!!!” he wrote alongside a sexy photo of the singer.

According to music industry sources, the pair are in a romantic relationship. The news of Wizkid supposedly dating the American singer quickly became a hot topic on Twitter. The Star Boy act has now reacted to the stories of him being in a relationship with Justine Skye.
He shared a photo of him and Skye with the caption, “No questions!” Meanwhile, the female singer signed to Roc Nation had previously expressed her admiration for Wizkid and his music which has now crossed over into the United States.
Prior to dating being romantically attached to Justine Skye, Wizkid was in an on and off relationship with Tania Omotayo from 2012 to 2015. In January 2016, Wizkid announced via a press release that he was no longer dating Tania Omotayo after the news was leaked that the former EME singer had fathered a baby with a US based woman by the name Binta Diamond Diallo.
Comedian Bovi and Basketmouth shared a post on their Instagram page and it seems like they are throwing shades.

The comedian shared a photo insinuating Freeze is a coward. According to the photo shared by him and reposted by Basketmouth, some people on social media behave like lions while in real life they are just cats.
“This just made me Freeze! Thank God for fire.” he wrote alongside it with many tagging it a call out to the media personality.
Basketmouth also shared that same photo writing, “They bark but can’t bite
The Instagram war between Basketmouth and Daddy Freeze has clearly not ended even though Freeze once revealed that he’s ready to forgive the comedian.
The celebrities started this beef on December 27 at OLIC 2. When Basketmouth took the stage at the Olamide concert he took shots at the on-air-personality.
“There’s this former Cool FM presenter here, Freeze. I see am for red carpet, where him dey?” said Basketmouth. The audience then pointed at Freeze.
“Make una nor deceived by this guy’s fair skin o. Nor be oyinbo o, na eczema cause am o. Freeze my guy, your wife nor beat you today?” further said Basketmouth in reference to the claims Freeze made of being a victim of domestic abuse.
The veteran radio presenter didn’t look disturbed when Basketmouth threw jabs at him. After the show was over, Freeze took his own shot at Basketmouth on Twitter and so the battle begun…..
Genevieve magazine publisher Betty Irabor recently shared her thoughts on domestic violence and people that stay in bad relationships just to keep up a front in society.
She wrote:
Marriage by fire by force???
Sometime ago, a young friend of mine found herself in an abusive marriage. Initially, her husband never laid a finger on her, he let his tongue do the job. He called her all sorts of names and lashed out at her with foul words. He would always dare her to pack and go and would always chuckle “let’s see where an old cargo with 3 kids like you will go; who will even look at you?”. She did try to leave a couple of times but somewhat returned to him after he came to ask her back; promising he would be a better husband. Then the circle of abuse will start all over again. One day however, he went too far when he tried to strangle her for daring to fight back. Bruised and battered, her parents came and took her and the 3 children away. As they left, the husband jeered shouting; “old cargo, you and your children will soon come back begging, which man will look at you?” But this young lady had had enough and was determined never to return. She braced up to become a breadwinner and joined her sister in her factory. It was while working in this factory that she met a man(he’d never been married)who fell in love with her and married her along with her 3 children. Old cargo???
So who was chuckling???
Women in abusive relationships face a lot of emotional manipulation which stops them from leaving. They are told they are useless and nobody will look at them. On their own, they are afraid of the unknown world ahead. They worry about the judgement of society and the stigma of being single mothers. The result is they “hang In there” until they they become profile pictures and Internet stories of another woman butchered by her husband. Every woman in an abusive relationships needs to realize that being married by fire by force is not whAt true marriage is about… It is nothing short of self delusion to manage a bad relationship just to please society. You have to know your worth and believe that you are deserving of more. You are not an old cargo!! There’s life after one bad marriage! Your self worth is not tied to one bad choice you made in a marriage partner.
When you have the grace to move on, do move on. You deserve more.

JJC’s daughter Tamira Bello shared some photos which appeared to be from the wedding. Now, media personality Freeze took to his Instagram page to wish her a happy birthday and also congratulate her on her wedding in a subtle way.

He wrote,”Happy birthday my gorgeous sister @funkejenifaakindele. God gave you love as a birthday present, I pray it lasts forever! You have worked hard, so you deserve to be loved harder! @jjcskillz ise ti bere. God bless you guys, he will butter your bread and sugar your tea in JESUS name AMEN!

Savage was featured in the magazine’s latest issue where she talks about how she used to be a tomboy, her deal with Roc Nation and the fact that her private life was recently made public.
Speaking about her private life, the mum of one-year-old Jamil said, “My biggest failure was exposing my private life too much. There will always be speculation, but by addressing it you are adding more fuel to the fire. I now choose not to address anything.”
On her sweet new deal with Roc Nation she says, “We are finalising the details with his company, and it is an amazing opportunity for any artist, particularly a woman, because traditionally such global parts have largely been enjoyed by the male artists.” She adds “I’m so honoured it has happened to me. And while it may mean, as a woman, I need to work 10 times harder to make things happen, I am fine with that. My approach is: do what it takes”.
Tuesday, August 16, 2016 Kash Kamp Trick Billionaire Musiq (KKTBM) star, Yung6ix took to Twitter saying he was almost shot in during the day by a trusted friend.
“Some nigga just tried to shoot me in broad day light, It’s shame what jealousy in the heart of men can do, all I ever did was show your love and support you since we met,” he tweeted.
Although he didn’t reveal the name of the alleged killer then, he seems to have done so over the weekend.
Now, Yung6ix has finally exposed the person who he claims tried to kill him last week.
It all started when rapper P.R.E, real name David Etete and son of former Petroleum minister, Dan Etete, posted a photo on Instagram promoting a song he and Yung6ix had collaborated on in the past, and in the comments Yung6ix called him out for destroying his home and trying to also take his life.

It didn’t end there, he also gave P.R.E 3 days to “come and pay the bills or you wont enjoy this week”.

“You gone on IG with no remorse after trying to take my life and post BS, your father might be able to keep you out of jail with his money but he definitely can’t keep you away from Karma and God. You have three days to pay for all you and your boys destroyed at my house,” Yung6ix wrote.
Highlife singer, Flavour of Africa has signed a new deal with a weight loss company. The singer is now a brand ambassador for FlatTummy Tea, “SIGNED and SEALED! Brand ambassador,” he announced the new deal on Instagram yesterday, August 21, 2016.

These women, who are widowed, stand united in their zest for life and support for one another. I was truly touched by their stories and will never forget this visit.
Bob Manuel Udokwu has revealed his frustration with the situation of power supply in the country and fears only bloodshed can bring about adequate change.
The Veteran Nollywood actor, while speaking during an interview with Punch Newspapers, disclosed his own struggle with power supply and what may have to be done to curb the situation.
Speaking during the interview, Bob Manuel said:
” I now use generators more than most Nigerians. We have no choice due to the poor power supply in the country. I rely mostly on the generator for my power needs.
“I have three generators in my house. It is not deliberate and it is not to prove to be rich, but it is because of the condition we have found ourselves in this country. I run one in the morning, one in the afternoon and one in the night. By doing this, I will be able to lengthen the lifespan of the generators. Of course, running the generator throughout the day creates a deep hole in the pocket, but what can we do with the epileptic power supply in the country?”
The actor further emphasised that a change in the system may never occur except there is bloodshed while challenging the government to make a move on the situation.
“Some of the importers are big people in this country who are doing everything they can to not make power supply improve. Some of them partially own the companies that manufacture generators. These people are in the government and wield huge influence. I am pessimistic we can succeed in getting good power supply again in this country. If it is ever going to happen, it will involve the shedding of blood because the cabal will be ready to do anything for their business to keep thriving. I am putting this as a challenge to the government, let them prove me wrong. We can never get stable power supply again in this country.”
Desmond Elliot has been up to some charitable acts as he just surprised a homeless woman with a well-furnished apartment.
The Veteran Nollywood actor turned politician took to his Instagram page yesterday, August 20, to share photos of the apartment as well as the reasons behind his act of charity.
Elliot revealed that he had come across the homeless woman after rehabilitating a borehole in Surulere which is under his constituency.
The woman had succeeded in impressing him with her resilience after she bought a generator to borehole since she washes clothes for a living.
Sharing a photo of the rehabilitated borehole and the woman’s generator set, he wrote:
“So I rehabilitated this borehole a few months ago, and the woman in this picture apparently is homeless and lives there at that spot, she bought a generator to power the bore hole (she washes clothes for a living). Boy was I impressed? So I decided to give her a little surprise.”
On a picture collage of the apartment and some of the things provided inside of it, Elliot wrote:
“She got a clean, fresh, room apartment with a television, gotv, fan, mattress and chair ..a place to retire to after a days work. Congrats to her
Fans were all over the post, thanking Elliot for his generosity. Some might see his generous actions as a publicity stunt but then again, as a lawmaker, it can be seen as his little to help his constituency.
Okechukwu Joseph has dished on his brief relationship with Genevieve Nnaji, throwing some light on the reason for their split.
The actor blamed his virginity at the time for the short span of his relationship with the Nollywood actress, as well as the difficulty he experienced in blending in with his colleagues in the movie scene.
Okechukwu made the disclosure during a recent interview with The Sun.
He said:
“I had no difficulty mingling. What I had issues with was entangling- copulating.
“And like I said earlier, I wasn’t ready because I was a virgin and I didn’t want to tell anybody. I was always making excuses about why I couldn’t ‘get down.’ In fact, this is one of the reasons my very short relationship with Genevieve was such a disaster.
“This is the first time I am admitting this publicly. Genny and I met and became friends on the set of Mark of the Beast. Of course in her very early days. It was as though we were in some type of experiment. But I learned a lot about her within that short period.”
The actor went on to gush about the gorgeous and talented actress, explaining how knowing her better helped him understand her the way very few people do.
“Two unforgettable moments- the day she introduced her little brother to me and the day she told me literally everything about herself. She trusted me that much. My mind was racing like crazy and I kept wondering how so little people knew about this young Amazon who was out to play the Esther for her family and did she?
“She felt like family to me. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go further because of my funny little ‘virgin’ secret. Not that she solicited or asked for anything but of course, my body language was downright repulsive to that effect and it didn’t take anything for any woman with brains to figure it out.
“She was so full of pragmatic energy and so on-the-go-like woman on a mission. Never ready to play around with stuff she couldn’t put up with. I hope she’s still that way. She has got an incredible story to her glory.”…. n it’s nt a story for d gods, believe me.”
Although his relationship with Genevieve fell through, Okechukwu’s words show no hint of regret except the fact that they have lost whatever friendship they had.

Controversial media personality, Daddy Freeze has weighed in on singer Jhene Aiko‘s divorce from Nigerian producer and husband of 11 months, Dot Da Genius.
In a post titled, “I don’t think Jhene deserved to be slaughtered on social media”, Freeze talks about his respect for Jhene.
According to him, he respects her for deciding to end a ‘fungating’ relationship.
“I watched with utter amazement, as a 44 year old spinster, tore Jhene to shreds over her cheating allegations/divorce, calling her all sorts of unprintable names. Because of this social media, that gives every Tom, Dick and Harry a microphone, a 44 year old woman, who has never been married and has no children can condemn another woman’s choice?
The first question on my mind was “Madam, how come you are not married at 44?” but fear no let me, as it was obvious that the poor mare needed an outlet to vent her frustration.
When Jhene started trending, I read tweets with awe, people who had little or no access to the real information, out of the blues became ‘professors of Jhene’, earning their PHDs and masters degrees on the subject, after spending all of 5 minutes digesting the story on TMZ. Some others who weren’t afforded the education TMZ gave, as their data plans were limited, relied solely on Facebook and Twitter, for their ONDs and HNDs on the subject.
I respect Jhene for deciding to end a ‘fungating’ relationship. There are a few reasons why a woman would cheat, the worst being that her heart is no longer in the relationship. Should she have stayed and continued cheating on Mr. Dot, or moved on? Some suggested that she should have stayed and fixed her marriage, despite allegations of violence.
Hmmm like that gentleman in Ibadan who went home to try to fix his marriage after he was stabbed once? The poor guy is in the graveyard, with the story more or less buried with him. Same thing with that pretty Lagos banker, who died with her children right there in the house, trying to fix her marriage. This year alone I have come across 4 or 5 of such stories, and wonder when, if at all, people are going to learn.
In the western world, they are not burdened with the responsibility we have, of pretending all is well on the home front, while we slide in and out of DMs and hotel rooms, yet ‘forming’ self-righteous.
Also, they do not enjoy the luxury of having some confused men of God, who are more worried about a couple going for deliverance if they engage in daily sex, or whether a woman knows how to cook or not, instead of facing what Jesus called them to do, to contend with.“
Dabota Lawson was a recent guest on Moments on Ebony Life Tv were she talked about being single, smart and successful.
When asked about why people attach marriage to every single thing, she said, “Being married doesn’t change someone’s perspective of you. If someone doesn’t like you they won’t like you whether you’re married or not.
I try my best to focus on the positive because everything about me is not negative regardless of what has been written in the media.“
Recently, Ms Lawson launched her new project Dabota Life alongside her new bottle water company which she said was meant to provide clean water to children in rural areas, and also to community schools, hospitals and orphanages.
“The lack of safe water in rural areas is a major cause of death and a significant obstacle to community development, especially for growing children,” she said in a statement released on Instagram, adding “And our project, DABOTA LIFE, is geared mainly towards children in rural areas, community school, orphanages and hospitals.”
Recall that the beauty queen’s marriage has ended ever since she filed for divorce from her husband of two years
In the divorce papers Dabota Lawson revealed that Sunny Akuwas still technically married when they had their wedding in December 2014. As a result of this revelation she cannot continue the marriage.
Popular media personality Toke Makinwa made her self her #WomanCrush

According to her, she’s celebrating herself and how far she has come this year.
“My #wcw. you never know how strong you are until you are tested and tried. I used to underestimate myself, I would usually speak myself out of doing things, the voice of fear was so loud till what I feared the most happened to me (like Job) and In my confusion and fear, not knowing what next, I had to learn the hard way but thru it all I found a new me, a girl I didn’t know existed and it’s been really fun getting to know her. I remember when I moved into my new flat, I didn’t know how I would make it thru but God was there before me.
Each time I tried to settle I felt I was insulting God; did I create myself? Do I not trust him? Is his grace not sufficient? And true to his word, he’s always looked out for this little girl and each time I ask myself how did I come this far, how am I able to stand? Pay bills, thrive and not just survive; I feel so much comfort and I confront my fears about going further. I’m all grown. I will get by and by his grace my testimony will be complete. Life happens, life doesn’t stop so when next you are faced with “how will I do this??” Think if he brought me to it, his grace is sufficient to take me thru it and I will come out on the other side. Just like Job, (job had in the end much more than he lost in the beginning) my season of restoration will come.“
All this comes after Toke Makinwa in her divorce suit filed against Maje Ayida accused him of “adultery” and “cruelty”.
According to her, Maje had repeatedly sent text messages to Anita Solomon inviting her to live with him. Maje claimed to not have money to take care of her and pay their bills, but was able to pay for Anita’s upkeep and travel expenses to the UK to have their baby.

The “Victims” actress recently floated a film school named- The MAG SCHOOL OF DRAMA. The school offers a 4-month training in acting, script-writing, movie making and stage management.
Meet Burna Boy’s youngest sister Nissi.
The 22-year old London-based singer, songwriter, and painter is ready to enter the Nigerian music industry. Nissi is also the granddaughter of veteran octogenarian music critic/broadcaster Benson Idonije.
She has released her debut single called “Pay Attention: and it is the single from her forthcoming debut EP titled “Downtown”, which is due for release this October.
Produced by Cornel Sorian and written by Nissi, ‘Pay Attention’ is a reflection of “the chaos that is our world today”, according to her.
She talks about the killings, brutality, and discrimination based on race, gender, religion, and ethnicity, which have been rife, all around the world this year, and calling out for more solidarity among people.

Nollywood actress, Omoni Oboli on August 13, 2016 took to her Instagram page to share a testimony about one of her three sons, Gozi with her followers.

The actress in an Instagram post revealed a lump was found on his breast. According to her, Gozi became weak after the lump was discovered but through prayers and thanksgiving, it miraculously disappeared and he is doing well now.

“Watch out LeBron James, Gozi is coming for ya! ????
I have a testimony! I told God I will testify in church if he did it but I never did so here’s me testifying to the whole world!
Some time ago, we discovered a lump in Gozi’s breast. I wasn’t comfortable so we kept praying about it. We took communion and we just kept praying. He was always complaining about feeling weak and he would always take naps. I thought it was quite unusual because as mama boys, I know boys are always active so I kept praying. To cut a long story short, God has healed Gozi, lump is gone and he’s more energized than he’s ever been! He’s running everyday, practicing his basket ball for hours! I just want to say THANK YOU LORD! Healing is the children’s bread! May God bless our bread and water and take sickness out of our midst! Go Gozi! The world is at your feet!!! ??? #IAmMamaGozi #GodOverAll #JehovaOverDo #FamilyOverEverything #director #scriptwriter #femalefilmmaker #OkaforsLaw #anticipate,” she wrote alongside a short clip of Gozi playing basketball.
Veteran Yoruba actor, Taiwo Hassan, also known as “Ogogo”, has revealed that the unrewarding state of the movie industry has encouraged him to consider other means of income such as farming.
In an interview published by Punch News on Saturday, August 14, 2016, Ogogo observed that piracy has made it difficult for actors and movie producers to get value for their hard work.
“I just can’t be chasing some jobs that are not worth it now. Imagine going to Ibadan now on fuel of about N30, 000, the producers don’t usually have the fund to pay for my hotel and I will lodge my personal assistants in hotels as well.”
” I can’t commit to jobs that are not worth it. It is not every job that one gets to do at a certain stage in one’s life.”
“No marketer can finance a movie project with a large amount of money.”
” Imagine releasing a movie in the morning by 9am and by 2pm the pirated copies will be out. So, how do we get our royalties or how does the marketer recoup his investment?”
“We solely depend on God’s mercy now, and the goodwill of those who love us. Only few have small businesses of their own. As I speak, some actors are being fed by their wives.”
“A big marketer in the industry told me when he wanted to release a Yoruba movie, some Igbo boys in Alaba told him to settle the pirates so they don’t pirate his movie. That is happening in a lawful society.”
This has been the reason why he decided to venture into farming, which was practiced by his parents.
”Footballers and musicians make more money than actors. Actors are the least paid.”
“My parents were farmers. I have partially started the process of going into farming”, he said.
Nollywood actress, Ireti Doyle, has given her opinion concerning the appropriate punishment for rapists, who are currently on a rampage based on several daily news reports.
The occurrence of rape has become quite common in the Nigerian society, but the actress thinks it has always been happening, only that attention was not given to it in the past.
Doyle stated this in an interview published by Punch News on Saturday, August 13, 2016.
She said, “In Nigeria, as in almost everywhere in the world, I do not think that rape cases are handled properly often times.”
“What makes it worse for us in Nigeria is that in advanced countries, they have strict laws and most times, the law is enforced and justice is done.”
“In Nigeria, we have laws in place but are they enforced as they should be? I don’t think so. But I am happy that there is a lot more conversation about it.”
“People tend to think that rape is on the increase but I don’t think so; I think it has always been a part of our society but you are hearing a lot more about it now because people are talking about it.”
“That veil of secrecy has been removed and the more we talk about it, the more we blow the whistle against the offenders.”
“Eventually I think we would get it right. We need to put stronger laws in place and enforce them and justice must be done.”
“When you hear about a law that castrates rapists, you may think it is extreme but when you think of the ripple effect, the damage that rape causes not just to the victims but people around them, you might want to rethink.”
“I think that the punishment should be hard especially for repeat offenders.”
“Maybe if you are a first time offender, the law might give you room for rehabilitation but if you are a repeated offender, they should cut off your manhood.”
The actress is married to veteran actor, Patrick Doyle, who lost his first wife and son to the Sickle Cell disease.
She is popular for her role in Amaka Igwe’s drama series, “Fuji House of Commotion”, where she played Ireti, alongside top actors, Kunle Bantefa, Ngozi Nwosu and the late Toun Oni.
Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, is having a go at social media impersonators who reportedly used him name to activate social media accounts and ascribe invented comments to him.
He revealed the number of instances where misinformed and malicious statements were attributed to him, including rumours that his son died on a movie set.
“Right now, I’m watching football in my house, but as I speak to you, some people are posting on Facebook or Twitter, using my name and picture.”
“It’s either they are talking about politics, state of the nation, ascribing series of proverbs to me or using my name to counsel people about marriage.”
“Someone asked me how I had time to put plenty proverbs on Facebook. I told the person I wasn’t responsible for them and that I didn’t even have a Facebook account, and she couldn’t believe it.”
“Some people said I sat with Mourhino in one of the profile pictures and that I was telling him the gods were angry with him. Then, they posted another one that Buhari came to consult with me in my shrine.”
“From time to time, you would hear or read that Pete Edochie died in London or on location. In our culture, if people wish you dead, you’d attend the person’s funeral.”
“I’m satisfied with what life has given me. I don’t envy anybody and I don’t want to be anybody. I just want to be left alone as Pete Edochie.”
Other untrue stories attributed to Edochie include having a misunderstanding with Nigeria’s Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who he claimed has no ties with him.
According to the actor, he has never been involved in politics, so comments linking him to Ekweremadu came as a shocking surprise.
“Somebody woke me up a few days ago and pointed my attention to what was written in my name about (Senator Ike) Ekweremadu.”
“I was surprised. I don’t know him neither do I have any issue with him. Again, few days ago, it was also posted that Federal Government needed me for something. All the nonsense people write about me, I’m not happy about it.”
“I’m not a politician, and I am not the only actor in this country. Throughout the campaign during the last general election, I didn’t campaign for anybody, yet on the social media you see people using my name to express support for one candidate or the other.”
“I speak very good English, and those posting those things in my name write in the way I can never write. That is the saving grace.”
“Just recently, someone informed me that he saw somewhere in my name that I wrote on one of these platforms that people should come and pay N50,000, as according to them, I was organising a programme. What programme?”
The actor has quite a list of experiences related to such cases and has revealed his dissatisfaction concerning them. Unfortunately, no matter his amount of silence, controversies always seem to find him.
K solo is undoubtedly one of the music producers who have been instrumental to the success of notable Nigerian artistes like Timaya and Kefee.
Just the way artistes are recognised and rewarded, K-solo hopes that music producers will get their due recognition. The talented music maker made this known in an exclusive chat with Showtime. “Music producers don’t get their due recognition. It’s beyond producing a song. I started the voice signature concept for the songs I produced before every other producer started it. Aside that, we don’t get any other recognition. Check out many artistes in Nigeria, most of them have big houses and drive good cars, but these young music producers have nothing.
Most of them don’t even have a car. They have produced major hit songs that have built houses for some of these artistes. The biggest accolade you get as a music producer is accompanying a popular artiste to an event. That is the end of it. In the USA, music producers live like celebrities. How many music producers have gotten an endorsement deal aside from Cobhams and Don Jazzy? We cannot develop the music industry that way. OJB produced African Queen and he died without an endorsement deal. There are only a few of us who have other businesses outside of music”, he said. You May Like
Gone are the days people regarded comedians as eccentrics and misfits, these days they are living like royalties and smiling to the bank.
Comedians stage their own shows in order to become relevant and make money for themselves. Radio personality and comedian, Steve Onu a.k.a Yaw, said in a recent interview that contrary to popular belief, organizing a comedy show is not lucrative. “I just organized my show and if you equate the efforts and the monies that I put in, I have not really made gains.
It’s not lucrative. When you organize these shows, you remind some of your clients that you are still around, you show them the other side of you that they don’t know before and then it helps you stay relevant in the industry.”
Yoruba actor, Sanyeri, is serving motivation to his fans after revealing that he was once a shoe maker before he got the opportunity to become a star.
The actor, who stated this in an interview with Punch News, said he found it difficult to make a living after finishing secondary school, due to this, he resorted to learning how to become a cobbler.
His participation in acting in Oyo State did not give him the sort of reward he anticipated. Even after relocating to Lagos, his situation remained the same.
“The suffering I endured was really extreme. After I finished my secondary school education, I did not have a job so I delved into the theatre world. I did it for some time but I was not being paid even when I went everywhere with the group and was helping them carry their costume.”
“I had to learn how to repair shoes so I became a shoe cobbler. Eventually, I left Oyo town and came to Lagos to find greener pastures but still I was not earning anything from acting.”
“I became a mobile cobbler. I would put my materials in a wooden box, place it on my shoulder and start hitting it as I walked the length and breadth of Idumota.”
“I would constantly hit my wooden box as I walked about to call the attention of people. Then nobody knew me so I kept hitting my box all over Idumota.”
“I remember I had a handkerchief I used to cover my face because of my tribal marks.”
“The reason I concealed my tribal marks was because the Igbo boys at Idumota had the belief that if they did not give their shoes to a Ghanaian cobbler, no one could do a better job.”
“If they saw my tribal marks, they would think I was one of the touts that would normally come to disturb them for money for shop and they would not give me their shoes to repair.”
“When I saw that being a shoe cobbler was affecting my career as an actor, I had to quit and face acting squarely. I thank God that good fortunes have come my way.”
Sanyeri recently talked about an unfortunate accident that occurred while he was on a movie set.
He broke his leg while playing a character with a spiritual problem in one of the movies he is producing. The actor is currently recuperating though with leg cast on.

Sean Tizzle had a recent interview with Vanguard newspaper where the musician talks about everything from the rise of baby mamas in the entertainment industry to why he is still single and more.
On baby mamas he said:
“It has never happened to me before, but at the same time, I don’t want to preach abortion. However, we should learn to be careful about things. But if it happens, you need to ask yourself that between killing the baby and keeping the baby, which one is the best? And the only reason you have a baby mama is because you don’t want to kill, so what I’m trying to say is that nobody planned that for themselves; even condoms are not hundred percent safe. I was with a girl and she told me that females put holes in condoms just to hook guys and have babies with them. I was surprised, and that’s why they say when girls hand you condom, don’t use it. It’s better you have yours because some of them will punch holes in it and you won’t know because you are already in the mood.”
Talking about why he is still single, he said “Maybe I’ve not seen the right girl. Even if I’m in a relationship, I will still like to keep it on a low-key because immediately they know that someone is my girlfriend, that’s when different temptations will start arising.”
On marriage, he says “I can’t really say because I’m still single, but at the same time, I want to have a home. I want to have kids and build a family.”
Recently Sean Tizzle stated that the media had a hand in making his potential relationship with DJ Cuppy unsuccessful.
Ycee recently shot the visuals to his recent collaboration with DJ Consequence ‘In a Benz’.
For the video shoot, Ycee stayed true to his signature retro hip-hop style. He rocked a pair of shredded denim dungarees.
He was also joined in the video by Praiz and others.

Popular blogger, Linda Ikeji, comedian Chigurl and publisher, Betty Irabor in a recent interview speak on the pressure to marry before 30.
Betty Irabor when asked about the pressure to get married before 30 revealed women before that age have not yet gone through the school of life which prepares them for marriage.
According to her, “I don’t think women should be worried about being married before 30 because many women before that age have not yet gone through the school of life which prepares them for marriage.”
Linda also revealed she gets pressured from family, friends and people who just can’t mind their business.
“Marriage is not an achievement. There is so much more to life than being someone’s wife. Get married please, but don’t be pressured into it. I don’t know how many of you single girls are under pressure to get married but I am. Pressure from family, friends and people who just can’t mind their business,” she said, adding, “The pressure is so intense right now I feel like going to husband market – if there is any such thing- to buy myself some breathing space. Give me a break you people.“
Chigur
Chigurl however said, “In my opinion, the pressure is not a fabrication. It is very real ! After you have won asoebi about a million times, you begin to wonder when it is going to be your turn to sell asoebi too ! And when you factor in mums and aunties constantly reminding you about the shelf life of women. It gets to you, even if it is just a bit.
People may even suggest some very strange things to you to do to ‘earn’ marriage. Well, I have come to realise that we allow ourselves to be pressured. The decision to get married should not be taken because you are being pressured, that could lead to a disaster. Don’t let anyone make you go into anything you are not ready for or your joy may be shortlived. And to those mounting pressure on others to go and get married, there is simply no justification for your behaviour.“
Betty Irabor who has been married to seasoned broadcaster Soni Irabor for 33 years, recently had a knee surgery (arthroscopy) with her hubby by her side.
Tiwa Savage officially signed a management deal with Jay Z‘s Roc Nation in July 2016 and now her profile has been uploaded to Roc Nation’s official website, and it’s quite detailed.
In her profile on the site, Tiwa reveals how her estranged hubby, Teebillz discouraged her from writing songs for people and encouraged her to return to Nigeria.
According to her, “I met Tunji and he told me about the growing Afrobeats scene back home in Nigeria. He thought I was wasting my talents being a songwriter and a backing singer and pushed me to move back to Africa. At first I thought it was a bit of a step backwards but he was adamant that this was my future. He knew it was what would set me apart from the rest“.
Before Tiwa Savage returned to Nigeria, the mum of one was signed to Sony/ATV as a writer providing back ups for several stars including backing vocals for Whitney Houston’s final studio album ‘I Look To You’.
Born in the heart of South London, Maleek Berry, real name Maleek Shoyebi, started off his career in the church, forming a group with two close friends. The group began writing, producing and performing their own songs at the ages of 14 and 15, only to disband at 16.

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Wednesday said that the presidency had approved October 1 for the commencement of implementation and enforcement of the Speed Limiting Device.
Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal, FRSC, disclosed this in Abuja while briefing stakeholders on the new date for the implementation and enforcement of the device.
Oyeyemi said that the implementation and enforcement of the device witnessed four postponements from its initial launching date of June 1, 2015, before its final approval by the presidency.
“The final directive from the presidency is clear; the enforcement date for the implementation of the speed limiting device is on Oct. 1 and we have had series of stakeholders meeting.
The essence of today’s meeting is to finally convey the directive of the federal government to the stakeholders that with effect from October 1, the implementation and enforcement would commence.
We already have the portal that we will use to monitor this, we don’t need to pursue any vehicle, we will just stop you like we verify licence.
On the tablet we will check whether your vehicle has been installed with the device, if it has not, we will impound the vehicle and we make sure that you do the right thing.
We are not talking about fines now ,it’s to save lives so we will impound the vehicle then the owner of the vehicle will be made to install the device before the journey continues,” he said.
Oyeyemi said that the corps would do this for the next three to six months to achieve enforcement and compliance so as to compel commercial vehicles to install the device.
He said the FRSC was only concerned about commercial vehicles installing it for now, adding that with time the enforcement would extend to private vehicles so as to cut down crashes on the road.
He said the FRSC was relentless on the enforcement of the speed limiting device because speed had been identified as a key risk factor in road traffic injuries.

Popular comedian, Basketmouth has dispelled rumours making rounds that he was an advocate for the Buhari administration.
According to him, he hoped Buhari would win the election but he never campaigned for him.
He took to Instagram yesterday, August 9, 2016 writing,
“I think it’s best I use this medium to clear the issue of “campaigns” and “support” now.
While many of my colleagues, friends and family members campaigned for the PDP, APC and various candidates during the last elections (and I cannot emphasize enough that it is their RIGHT to do so), I NEVER campaigned for BUHARI or ANY other politician. ALL those saying that I did should do everything within their power to “THINK”. I know thinking can be a very difficult task for some but trust me, it can be a painless and enlightening process. THINK of when I ever “CAMPAIGNED” for BUHARI!!.. Indeed I personally HOPED that he would win the election and perhaps that was evident in my “body language” and I am happy he won. But I did not campaign for him.
Nigeria was in a bad place by the end of the last administration and it was only a matter of time before we would have suffered the plights of Brazil and Venezuela. Truth of the matter is that I would have voted ANYONE that could speak 2 words of English against GEJ and that’s strictly based on the amount of greed and selfishness we witnessed from members of his administration in the 6 years that he sat on the rock. They put us in this Septic tank we are in right now…..well, that and the oil price downfall amongst other things.
I have said it numerous times that I am not a politician hence I try not to dabble in politics. However I think a few people interpret crying out against injustice by the one as campaign for the other. When the Late FELA KUTI and BOB MARLEY cried out against the injustices in their days, were they being partisan? Of course not. They were just being HUMAN!
I am forever grateful to God for blessing me with a flourishing career, a beautiful family, food on my table and small change in my pocket. However I see too many people everyday who have not been so lucky to travel and see the way things are outside Nigeria/Africa. I have seen how GOVERNMENT can influence and affect the lives of the downtrodden positively. I am still patient, praying and hoping that PMB can turn Nigeria’s economy around and help strengthen Nigeria’s social justice system. Not so I can cheer him and be vindicated that I was right and some were wrong, but so my friends, family members and well-wishers who haven’t been favored as others can have renewed hope in our country Nigeria and the brotherhood we have enjoyed in this generation. Even the United States went through a tough recession in 2008 and with some patience they have been able to turn that around.
So long story short, did I campaign for PMB? NO! Do I support and PRAY that his administration should succeed and improve the life of the common man, increase security, food, jobs, infrastructure, quality of education, healthcare and every other area that will make Nigerians proud wherever they may find themselves? YES!! On the other hand, should he and his party fail, we are all free to cast our votes for the next man come 2019 and I shall be exercising that right. No need for quarrel.“

“I’m that woman who is always there for people when they need a friend. I’m also that woman who faces many issues alone, but will still do anything to see someone else smile” read the caption.
This year has been trying for the ex-president of the AGN. In March 2015, a Lagos High Court dismissed the actress’ appeal of her 5 year jail term.
After a few weeks at Kirikiri prison, the Appeal court in said it was granting the actress N2million bail pending the determination of a suit filed by her at the Supreme court.

Popular actress Uche Jombo has just called out one of Nigeria’s major national publication, Punch Newspaper for publishing a misleading story.
The mum of one based in Houston, Texas with her family took to her Twitter page to put Punch on blast saying she never granted them any interview.
According to her, “While we were promoting #WivesOnStrike I was asked on a ‘video’ interview about having a long distance relationship in which I replied it’s not long distance, it’s the kind I’m already used to and i make it WORK by balancing family and work.
Pls don’t misquote me on a video interview n have the nerve to call it exclusive. My last press interview was with Sam olatunji 4wivesOnStrike.“
According to what Punch published Jombo said, “Before I got married, I had always dated people who lived outside Nigeria. As a result, being married to someone who lives abroad does not seem bizarre. I didn’t plan to marry someone who lives abroad. Rather, it just happened.”
Apparently, the interview was taken from a video interview she had in May, to promote the movie “Wives On Strike“.
Jumbo wedded Kenny in Puerto Rico in 2012 and welcomed their first child together, Matthew Rodriguez in May 2015.

The hacker proudly attributes one of Aimakhu’s makeover photos to another make up account, advertising their business on the page.
However, Aimakhu is yet to confirm the incident.
Controversial Senator, Dino Melaye is currently having a blast while on vacation with his kids in the United Kingdom.
Taking some time off his busy schedule, the Nigerian Senator took to his Facebook page to share photos from his trip with his sons.
Melaye posed with his son amid their luggages in one of the cute photos.
The lawmaker representing Kogi West in the National Assembly also shared some photos of his first son, as well as another of himself and his daughter, Ruth Gbotemi Melaye, earlier last week.
Considering how hard it can be to juggle work and family as a Senator, this is definitely some much needed family time.
Melaye shares two sons and a daughter with ex-wife, Tokunbo Fabiyi, and welcomed another child with his new wife in July this year.
OAP Daddy Freeze has waded into RCCG General Overseer Pastor Adeboye’s controversial statement today, August 8, 2016.
Recall that two weeks ago, Pastor Adeboye at a Youth conference shared a sermon that got social media agog. According to him, sex is not food and shouldn’t be everyday and a woman must know how to cook and pray as one of the criteria for marriage.
Daddy Freeze has however weighed in on the trending topic. He took to his website writing,
“The only part of the message I agree 100% with, is that no one should marry a man or woman who can’t pray for 1 hour straight. The bible instructs us in the book of 1st Thessalonian chapter 5 verse 17 to “pray without ceasing”. In as much as we like to operate under the assumption that we control our own lives, in my opinion, the greatest part of our lives is controlled by external forces.”
“When life happens during your race, you will need a sufficient amount of grace!”~FRZ
“This Grace can only be received through ceaseless prayer!
Talking about marrying a woman that cannot cook is another kettle of fish entirely, as I do not see why this is a criteria for marriage in 2016. If your woman can’t cook you have many options which include teaching her, hiring a cook, cooking your own meals or eating out and each has its own distinct and enjoyable flavour. Imagine serving your woman a meal in bed on a Saturday morning, she would gladly retaliate with a favor ‘wink’.

The singer blamed the media for the failure of his ‘relationship’ with the daughter of billionaire tycoon Femi Otedola.
Tizzle made the disclosure during a recent interview with The Nation, also explaining what his post from last August, which insinuated a romantic relationship between the pair, really meant.
Sharing a photo of Cuppy, he wrote:
“God bless my Cupcake Ifeoluwa aka Cuppy. Like Jay Z and Beyonce, it’s just me and my future Abiamo. #Kisses.”
The post which gave rise to wild speculations of a relationship between the pair, wasn’t taken too lightly by Cuppy, a situation which may have further estranged the pair.
Now, Tizzle explains to the publication that he simply had a crush on the talented disc jockey.
“No, we were not dating. She’s just my friend and we are cool like that. People just took it wrong, although I like her for so many things.”
When asked if he ever had a crush on her, he replied honestly:
“Yes, I was. I told her before but she was in school then and she was trying to focus on her education.
“When the media put that out she didn’t take it too lightly and that kind of affected the relationship.
“But me I go go work that work to come tell her back say what’s up girl, can we do it again?”
Dj Cuppy has since been rumoured to be in a relationship with footballer, Victor Anichebe.

A popular pastor in South Africa, Alfred Ndlovu, took the temptation of competing with God too far when he decided to embark on a dry fasting that would break the 40 days and 40 nights Jesus Christ underwent, when he died after just 30 days into the programme.
Buzz South Africa reports that Ndlovu had boasted to his members that he would break the widely acclaimed record Christ held for the longest fasting and retired to a mountain to stay for the record breaking event but after just one month, he was found dead.
It was reported that Ndlovu left his family on June 17, 2016, to the prayer mountain to commence the dry run but on July 17, he was found dead by a hunter who then reported the find to the police who notified the deceased’s family and church members.
A church member, while narrating the death of Pastor Ndlovu, said:
“He was a very spiritual man. It’s unfortunate he had to die this way. After a month, we got the sad news of his death. Pastor was a healthy and religious old man who did not even look his age.”

A couple of weeks ago Cool FM on-air personality Freeze went on Instagram to apologize to a couple of people he had called out on social media in the past. Notably he apologized to his old friend Basketmouth saying that he was ready to bury the hatchet and move on in peace.
Yesterday however had a different story to tell.
Basketmouth posted a photo of an expensive Rolex and captioned:
I will only spend N23,000,000 on a watch, if the watch can tell me……
1: The time Jesus is coming back
2: When they will bring back the girls
3: The time corruption will stop in Naija
4: The time the Naira will be equal to the dollar….just to mention a few.
A few hours ago Freeze also went on Instagram to throw shade at Basketmouth’s post by posting a photo of himself wearing the exact same watch.
He captioned “I just love the way this feels on my wrist, one of my favorite watches. It’s so heavy because platinum is a very heavy metal. My watches tell me the time, that’s all that matters. If you want to know when Jesus is coming I’m sorry Rolex can’t help you, maybe giving your life to Christ can. Jesus could also help you get rid of bitterness and malice……”

Talented Hip hop rap act Modenine is set to release what according to him would be his last album, which is titled “Insulin”, a follow-up to “Above Ground Level “ (2014).
The rapper and emcee has announced the release date of the album, which would be his fifth to be August 16, 2016.

The news of this album being very much the rapper’s last may not come as surprise to many given the fact that the rapper has expressed displeasure over the reception of his album by the public.
His last album “Above Ground Level” however made an attempt at appealing to the mainstream market with a feature of Mavin boss Don Jazzy in the track ‘Some more’.
MyStreetz magazine releases a new edition with an art illustration of Wizkid.
The latest issue aims to promote artists and their creative works.
According to the magazine publisher, Sesan Adeniji:
” Find me an artist and I will show one of the most instrumental people in life.
To imagine how essential toys and cartoons are to children is to imagine how important those artists that drew all those sketches that were transformed into illustrations for cartoons and sculpture toys are.
As adults, If the visual story line, intrigues and animated special effects that come with most of your favorite cartoons and fantasy movies such as the Lord of The rings, Game of Thrones, Superman, X-Men, Toy Story, Star Trek continue to excite you, it shows how creative and influential the works of those artists that conjures all the characters in their drawing, illustration and animation are.
To imagine how difficult and boring chatting will be on mobile phones without those emoji that help us communicate better and smarter is to imagine life without those artists that created them. If those recent trendier emoji we have on our phones today spice up our conversation, then artists have continued to add value to our daily lives.
All over the world, artists are contributing massively to the GDP of their country. Here in Africa and especially in Nigeria, we also have extremely creative artists whose works are influencing the art and entertainment industry for a while. The works of these sets of guys can also be exported to the rest of the world. If Americans are selling their super heroes like Superman, Batman and X-men, we can also create Naija super heroes for the world to see. This edition is all about showcasing some of the artists who have been working hard for this to be possible. Creating illustrations and drawing conclusions – a story on some of today’s artists using traditional or new media to generate mind-blowing pieces in the art/entertainment circle.”

Samuel Eto’o and Fally Ipupa have finally made peace, two years after the Congolese singer allegedly leaked Helene Nathalie Koah’s nude photos online.

The duo were spotted hanging out today, August 3, 2016 somewhere in Cameroon.
Recall that in 2014, after Koah called off her relationship with Ipupa, her nude photos surfaced online and Cameroonians accused the singer of leaking the photos.
Koah later lost her job at the Cameroon Airport Corporation, Camair Co, because of that scandal and it was reported that she was hospitalized afterwards for trauma.

From reports, Koah and Eto’o dated for 7 years before she called it off in 2013 and later kicked off a new relationship with the Congolese singer. In her exclusive interview with a Cameroonian blog, Koah described Eto’o as rude and explained how she endured that relationship.
But Koah’s time with Fally Ipupa was brief and after they split up in 2014, her photos suddenly appeared on social media, and it was branded an act of revenge by the Congolese singer.
Now the big question remains, who really posted those photos,Eto’o – who got badly hurt from the break up or Fally Ipupa – who was probably not truly in love with Helene?

Superstar DJ Caise is definitely in a force to reckon among the top DJ’s in Nigeria.
He started mixing house music with Afrobeats before it became a trend or cool. He has contributed to legitimising the role of a DJ in the music scene as a notable character at par artists whose music he spins and mixes and not inferior to. He also reminisces on how it all started, the road travelled thus far, and looking forward to the future of music with him in it, ready fists in the air and feet primed to dance.
Here’s an except of his interview:
How it all started:
I started in the university, but music has always been a big part of my life, I started as a choir-boy in church and I’ve always loved music. I was definitely that guy that was always singing and dancing in class. Moving back to Lagos after university in London, I was at the heart of an emerging DJ scene and was the epicentre of pushing the craft, I became known as the Nigeria’s first Afro-house DJ because of the way I mixed House music and Afrobeats, I am known for starting the house movement in Nigeria. Shortly after my return, I boldly pitched to the Founder of Beat FM, a new urban station and I landed a weekend residency on what became the biggest dance show on radio. A couple of Endorsements, TV shows and awards from MTV, BET, Big Brother Africa shows to headlining festivals and concerts in Kenya, Cardiff, S.A, Los Angeles, Rwanda. I am very much dedicated to my craft and music. it’s been such an exciting and fulfilling journey. Being a creative and fulfilling my personal destiny of bringing happiness to people’s life through music is very important to me and I believe should be to everyone.
On his biggest inspiration:
DJ Khaled, David Guetta, Black Coffee, Calvin Harris. They are DJs that have developed into global brands that transcends the music.
His advice to aspiring DJs:
Focus on your craft. Years ago when I started to fuse Afrobeats and House Music, the first DJ to do so in Africa, everyone thought I was crazy, But I put my head down and focused on the craft. That bet paid off. So for aspiring DJS practice and focus is key.
On the future of the industry is headed in one to five years from now:
The whole world is watching the Afrobeat industry and it’s a very exciting time to be part of it. In 5 years’ time I see it as a globally recognised genre similar to POP Music. Africa’s gift to the world. I am excited to be at the epicentre of that fusion and global push.
On the Nigerian DJ scene:
Most DJs in Nigeria cannot independently produce a song or mix and master it. They instead prefer quantity over quality and release a lot of songs, typically one after another with very little impact. We would have a lot more impact collectively if we focused and honed the craft. The Industry as a whole needs to be more creative. We need to make our mark on the industry.
About his upcoming EP:
I am super excited about it, it will change everything you think you know about the music scene in Africa. It’s a contemporary African presentation. Overall, It’s a very personal project and a bit experimental but it’s one that’s surely going to capture and hopefully inspire the minds of the industry.
On the most memorable person he has ever met:
Ciara was quite an amazing soul, very sweet and amazingly beautiful. Chris Ubosi the owner of Mega Electrics (Beat FM London, Lagos) has been like a mentor to me and all round great boss.
On his thoughts about the world in its current state:
The world is currently standing on its head, what do you make of the upheaval? I think the world needs love!! Love is always the answer. The way kids behave are the perfect solutions to all our problems, in their so called naivety all they know is joy and love. We need to go back to the basics. We belong to one human race. The moment we start thinking we are different that’s when all the madness starts. Killing is bad period! Whether it’s unarmed black men or armed policemen putting their lives on the line. Love is the answer. Donald Trump trying to divide and conquer, stir up hate in no man’s land when love is truly the answer, Nigerians stealing funds and destroying pipelines and the economy, blowing up themselves and others need to realise that love is truly the answer. Music is that Universal Language called Love and is truly the answer. Peace, Love and Respect.

Multiple award winning Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame says he would do everything possible to eliminate Hepatitis from the country by 2030, Myjoyonline.com reports.
This, he believes would be achieved with his music and personality coupled with partnership from the media and all relevant stakeholders.
“I believe that rap music gives the youth so much power, like me, I have so much power to organise free screening for over 1000 people…as far as my influence can go, I am willing to go the extra mile at the expense of my finances, with other stakeholders getting involved, I am optimistic we will achieve this objective,” he said.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Ghana is among the high-risk countries with a prevalence rate between 10 and 15 percent of Hepatitis B.
In this vein, Okyeame Kwame in 2009 instituted a foundation to create awareness on Hepatitis B and also help reduce the prevalence rate of the disease in Ghana.
With seven years of providing education campaign and a free screening of Hepatitis B to the Ghanaian populace, Okyeame Kwame Foundation took it’s free screening exercise to the Volta region.
Hundreds of residents in Ho benefited from the free screening exercise where beneficiaries who tested negative were given the first dose of the Hepatitis B vaccine and referred to the Volta Regional Hospital for the rest two doses for free.
Others who tested positive were counselled and advised to seek medical attention and treatment.
Speaking to Joy News’ Fred Quame Asare in Ho, Okyeame Kwame explained that his foundation decided to give free vaccination to 85% of beneficiaries who tested negative so they do not drift back to the risk zone unprotected.
He, however, promised to ensure his foundation achieves its target of completely eliminating Hepatitis B in Ghana by 2030.
“By the year 2030, hepatitis should be a thing of the past…we are going to fight it with every ounce of blood and energy that we have to make sure that hepatitis will stop to kill people in Ghana,” he said.
He, however, urged both the young and old to get tested for hepatitis so they know their status and next line of action.
Beneficiaries of the screening exercise in Ho were grateful to the Okyeame Kwame Foundation and other sponsors.
Last week Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar posted a saucy photo of herself saying she can’t wait to be “disvirgined”. Of course, she got some backlash from fans and followers and in a recent interview with Punch she clears the air surrounding the bold statement.
“Why would people become annoyed because I said I am a virgin?” she asked, adding, “Just because I’m in the industry does not mean I am badly behaved. Not everyone is sexually active. You can have a boyfriend and not be sexually active. The reaction I got shows the mentality of the people. If I say I’m a virgin, I am and if I say I am not, then I am not. They tell me to go get married, should I go after someone else’s husband?”
According to her, “Everybody thinks one should get married from age 18. A lot of marriages are complicated. Marriage will come when it will come, one doesnt need to force it. People are getting divorced with pregnancies because they got married under pressure. We should let people be. People are saying if you are not getting married, go and get kids because menopause is approaching. What kind of thing is that? Is it your menopause? I still have about nine years before I hit menopause all things being equal. I am not one of those people that will kill themselves because of marriage. I can’t have kids outside marriage.”
Meanwhile, Halima herself has revealed she is not concerned about critics negative comments. On Saturday, July 20, 2016, the “Men In Love” actress disclosed that she just doesn’t care about what critics say.
“People always comment on most of my posts. You know Nigerians like to criticise whether they understand the language or not.”
“I just want to believe that they just want to talk. I don’t want to talk about my post where I said that I was a virgin and couldn’t wait to have children. I posted what I wanted and that was it. I have been getting negative comments from people for over 13 years; I think my body is used to it by now.
Negative comments do not move me at all and I do not even have emotional feelings towards such.”
According to her, the media might twist her words to imply what she did not intend to say.
Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, has stated that he is considering tying the knot soon but also explained that he will like to take his time.
Dumelo dished that marriage should not be rushed into, as doing so could result into fatal consequences.
This was disclosed in an interview published by The Nation News on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
The actor said, “I have seen a lot of people talking about marriage, a lot of people getting into marriage early, and divorcing early.I think people just love the idea of marriage but don’t know how to stay in marriage.
“They like the idea of love but don’t have the idea of how to stay in love or be in love, so since I have some followers, I decided to put it in writing and advice people not to rush into marriage because your friends or cousins are getting married or because you want to have beautiful wedding pictures.
“Marriage is making it work and that is what is failing a lot of marriages these days because people go into it with the wrong mindset.
“These reasons are why I am taking my time before getting married and of course, there are plans of getting married soon.”

This Dangote truck just slammed into me from behind and it caused a ripple effect ramming into about four other cars. Everyone in my car including Rayce sustained serious injuries, we are all in one hospital at Agege now. I’m not sure whats wrong with me yet o“.

According to reports Nigerian pop star D’banj has left the Mike Adenuga led telco GLO and has signed for rival telco MTN.
THE NET claims that the self-acclaimed Entertainer parted ways with GLO a few weeks ago and signed the dotted line with MTN making him a brand ambassador for the company. “The deal happened a few weeks ago and Dbanj is very happy about it” a source told THE NET.
In 2009 D’banj signed an endorsement deal with GLO and it was reported to be worth N70m. The following year D’banj reportedly asked for more money which ultimately led to the telco dumping him and signing Psquare for a contract worth over N100m.
3 years later D’banj bumped into Chief Mike Adenuga which led to the singer re-signing with the telco. His endorsement deal with GLO has now expired and the telecommunications outfit is not enthusiastic on extending D’banj’s contract.
We all know how Instagram can be one of the most beautiful places on the Internet and how fast it can go to being one of the ugliest.
The ugly side of Instagram comes out in the comments section, where some users are subjected to harassment and hateful criticism.
Before now, you could not avoid the dark side of Instagram as we often regard it as the price one had to pay for all the other cool stuff you get from using the app.
All that is about to change as Instagram’s latest update will put an end to that in a wonderful way. The Washington Post reports that the company is rolling out a feature that will allow users to truly customize their experience by banning certain words, phrases, and even emoji from the comments on their pictures and videos, or even turning off comments all together.
The feature is being rolled out slowly, first to some “high volume comment” users (so, probably celebrities), and then, eventually, to the rest of us.
Nicky Jackson Colaco, Instagram public policy chief said, “Our goal is to make Instagram a friendly, fun and, most importantly, safe place for self-expression,We have slowly begun to offer accounts with high volume comment threads the option to moderate their comment experience. As we learn, we look forward to improving the comment experience for our broader community.”
Raise your hands if you are for this update because I know I am! It is such a great step toward curbing the growing problem of online harassment.

Nollywood actor Ani Iyoho has claimed that he is well and unharmed after a video of him burning on a movie set went viral. According to him, the scene wasn’t a publicity stunt but a movie scene that went very well.
He posted a statement on Instagram saying:
To my friends
For most of you who have ever commented or sent a chat to me you know I do all I can to respond to them all. So it hurt me deeply to keep you in silence and in the dark during this period. I couldn’t avoid it. The calls were maddening. My phone had to be turned off till the matter was resolved in public where it started.
It worried the production that anything I might say as an individual may be misinterpreted further worsening the situation. I’m truly sorry beyond words for the emotional stress and inconvenience this might have caused you. It wasn’t a publicity stunt for me as some might still want to have you believe. It was a huge misunderstanding, misrepresentation and misinterpretation of events of that day and it took a toll on me in ways I cannot explain
I am however extremely humbled at the love, care and support I got from you during this period. Words fail me. I am indebted to you. Thanks for being there for me and my family. God bless you and yours. Amen
I am well. It was a movie fire scene that went well.

The director of the movie, Stanlee Ohikhuare, has also come forward to make a statement about the perfectly executed scene.
Explaining why he did it during a press conference, Stanlee says he believes the stunt would cause a remarkable change in the attitude and perception of fellow Nigerians and the world at large, towards Nollywood’s potentials. He stated that he did it to create film awareness and industry patronage via media engagement; utilizing the ever evolving social media platform to gain reach and peculiar attention to an entire industry. He also added that Government intervention is needed to ensure that there’s adequate funding to curb ugly occurrences like the one insinuated in the circulated video.

The U.S Mission to Nigeria together with Edo state leaders on Thursday, launched a $1 million program to Assist HIV/AIDS-affected children and families.
First Lady of the state Iara Oshiomhole and the Commissioner for Women Affairs Aenena Jemitola Fulani-Ojo hosted the U.S. Consul General John F. Bray and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission Director for Nigeria Michael Harvey at the Banquet Hall of the Edo State Government House.
The program, funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through USAID, will help lift out of poverty 15,000 families affected by HIV/AIDS in Edo, Benue, Kogi, and Nassarawa States and the FCT.
Each selected family will receive a cash amount to enable them to pay for school, purchase food and other necessities, and become self-sufficient entrepreneurs.
“Since the inception of PEPFAR, the U.S. government has made a point of focusing on children who have been most affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic,” said Mission Director Harvey.
“The program we are launching today brings hope to 2,400 vulnerable families here in Edo State alone. We want this to be a model for how such programs can effectively and affordably be put in place, so that other states can follow suit,” Harvey added.
Bray and Harvey also visited the Power Africa projects and partners in the state to assess the progress of partnered investments that advance U.S. President Barack Obama’s signature initiative.

Nigerian foremost contemporary folk and roots musician, Segun Akinlolu on Wednesday stressed the need to diversify to the music industry to ensure growth.
Akinlolu known as “beautiful Nubia’’ told the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that the music industry was subjective, because there were a lot of things lacking, as everyone was doing their individual thing.
According to him, there is no cohesion, coordination and unity in the industry.
“We cannot progress with this kind of attitude in the music industry, and we cannot leave a legacy for the generations to come.
“We would only progress in the music industry when every musical genre come together to do things in unity.
“All of us in the industry at the moment should keep working towards making the music industry a better place to enhance our act.
“We have to look for ways to put structures in place to be able to move it to the next level and also make it better for those coming after us,” he said.
He noted that abroad “music is music’’, no matter the genre of music, as far as people identify with it and like it.
“In Nigeria, you get to hear that this is gospel, this is reggae, this is hip hop, and pop and it doesn’t work that way.
“We should learn not to segregate about things in this country, and move the music industry forward.
“If you go to music school, they will not teach you different genre while you learn to play guitar, band, percussions and others, so why the separation of things, he asked?
“We should learn to unite and do things well in this country not only in the areas of music.’’
NAN reports that Akinlolu is the Chief Executive Officer, EniObanke Music Production.
He was born in Ibadan, Nigeria and attended the University of Ibadan, and graduated with a doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1992.
He practiced Vet medicine for a period of time before going to music school in Canada.

On Origins of His Music
So one day they were like, ‘Yo D, you give us so much ideas, why don’t you try it yourself. I remember I was like 15, and we were trying to do a demo for Konvict then. So I just got on, did the hook, I came out of the booth and everybody was looking at me like, it’s huge, common, you gotta do it yourself.
I bought my own equipment, and began my own. I was recording every day at home. This was a long time, I haven’t been home in about three years, I was in college in America.
How Music Made A US University Drop Him
This was 2010 when I went home. I saw Don Jazzy, Tiwa (Savage) was out. I was just looking at all these like ‘These dudes are making money”. I went there for Christmas and it was lit. It was crazy. I was hanging out with D’banj at the time, he had that Kanye deal. I now told my Dad that I was trying to stay, and he was like ‘What? My friend you better go back to school”.
I called my roommate, and told him “Imma do this no more. If my Dad calls, tell him you don’t know where I’m at.’
How He Disappeared From Home
The first record I put out first was ‘Back When’. I was in London at the time, I dropped this record, I went home, and they were like ‘Yo, come on, it’s time. D’banj, Wande Coal and everybody was telling me that your record was good. I was 16, so I was the youngest at the time. I went back home fresh from America. I go into the club that night, and they were playing my song, I went crazy.
“Baddest” Album

The “Baddest” album was been done, I had a release date already. ‘Fans mi’ was out, the project was about to drop. When I did that song with Meek, he was the hottest rapper at the time. After I dropped that record, it showed me that planning was very important. You can drop music, you can put music out, but at the end of the day, I’m trying to take my African music around the world. So if I know that I’mma drop something and it is just gonna be good in Africa, if I got to wait, I’ll wait.
I have just been blessed to have sold out shows in London, all over the world. In New York, 6000 people showed up for a 1000 capacity venue. Then the police shut it down. I haven’t done a show (in New York) since then.

Tiwa Savage has been interviewed on Apple Music Beats 1 Radio.
The Mavin Records singer who is promoting her sophomore album “R.E.D”, recently got signed on to Jay Z’s Roc Nation. She is currently on an international management deal.
She was a guest on the show hosted by popular OAP, Ebro Darden, and she revealed a lot about her perspective on African music. She also revealed more details on her deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation and how Africa currently commands the spotlight in global music.
The full interview has been edited below.
On African Music
When we speak of Africa, we have to always remember that it is a continent. And so you have South Africa, East Africa, West Africa, North Africa, and it’s just a huge continent with different cultures, and different languages. So right now, the prominent music out of Africa seems to be Afrobeat or Afropop (depending on what you want to call it). Essentially it’s just music with African elements. Whether it be the rhythm, or maybe the native language. As long as you can have one or two of those, then it tends to be associated with Africa.
Africans love to dance, it’s so rhythm based. It’s very very heavy with drums, basslines as well. I think everybody essentially, we all have an element of it, but we are all influenced by the muic coming out of America, we are influenced by Hip-Hop, we are influenced by Soul Music, R&B, and I think that is the beauty of it; Blending both markets together. So when you say African-American, truly, that’s where it should be, between the African and the American world, just blending both together.
On Songwriting and Sony Deal
I grew up in the UK as well, and it wasn’t cool to be African. I used to be bullied and stuff. When you go to clubs in Africa, they would play Hip-hop 90%, and maybe 10% African music. Now it is literally the other way round, so it’s a great thing that Africans in the diaspora are listening to African music.
I have been recording music for 8 years, I am signed to Sony/ATV as well, so I wrote a couple of records out here, so I co-wrote ‘A couple of forevers’ for Chrisette Michelle, ‘Collard & Greens’ for Fantazia. So I have been writing for a long time. Now I am focused on Afrobeat.
On Collaborations
The beautiful thing is, when American artistes come to Africa, and you know English isn’t our first language, but you see people reciting the lyrics to Jay Z songs, and it’s a feeling, they might not even understand what the whole thing is. But it wouldn’t be able to happen in reverse. There shouldn’t be a barrier just because you don’t understand what Mafikizolo is saying or Tiwa is saying. Music is an emotion, and I am really happy that you guys are putting that light on, now that we have the spotlight to show the world what we can really do.
On Roc Nation
I met B High (Jay Z’s cousin, and Roc Nation chief of mobile strategies), I got a call, and he mentioned it and I (makes a skeptical sound)…He was serious. I don’t know if it you’ve ever met him, but he is serious. And I love the fact that they are not trying to change me. They really just want to bring what I already have to offer to the rest of the world, and they truly believe in the movement. So yeah, I’m really excited about it.
The reason why we did not really make too much noise about it is because a lot of people come over from Africa and they say they’ve got this deal and that deal, and then nothing happens. We just wanted to do it the proper way, get it official. I didn’t want to do that to my people. I wanted them to really believe that it was really happening, so we wanted to wait for the right time, and the time is now.
Some few weeks back , Iyanya began to hint about his exit from Made Men Music Group and a virtual split from partner, Ubi Franklin, and the Oreo crooner has finally done it.
The singer took to his Instagram page today, July 27, to announce that he has signed with a new record label and his latest album would be released under it.
Read what he wrote below:
“Dear Fans, i am pleased to announce that i have signed on with Temple Management Company. About a year ago, Ubi and i discussed options to diversify our business interests and creative visions and we both agreed that we would explore all avenues open to us. So much has happened since and i have now completed work on my new album which will be released under a new record label.
“With both @thetemplecompany, and the new album, i am now embarking in a new direction which will not only bring you the same quality, verve and energy that you have become accustomed to, it will take things to the next level.
“Ubi remains my brother and we both look forward to this new phase of our careers. God bless you all.”
Veteran comedian Ali Baba in a recent post on Instagram details how he worked as a conductor, sand digger, truck loader, casual labourer, taxi driver and other odd jobs.
He took to Instagram today, August 1, 2016 writing, “Believe it or not, I learnt how to make shoes in 1983, in Agbarha-Otor, while I was waiting for Almighty Jamb to smile on me. God will bless my teacher, the Deeper Life Pastor, an Igbo man, who had lost half of his left thumb during the Biafran civil war.
“He was my dad’s tenant. After observing me for days, he called me to come join him to design and cut patterns. Because he saw me graph drawing the picture of DELE GIWA. And taught me all the processes of shoe making. From preparing the leather and maximizing same, to design, sizing, cutting and sewing. He taught me how to repair shoes only after he had taught me everything about shoes. I asked why? He said if he did not teach me about the making of a shoe, it will be impossible to know how to fix what you do not know how to make.
He said the best way to learn how to fix anything is to know how it’s made. He said that is why in Aba, where he learnt how to make shoes, in 1975, his master will go buy imported brogue shoes and take them apart. Then teach him and his fellow apprentices how and why the different part of the shoe helps to make the shoe what it becomes.
I remember the first day I met @micheleathers1 and I took her through how to make shoes. She was dazed. This post is to tell all the lazy guys who think sitting down and waiting for GOVT to give them a job is cool. You will regret it. I have been many things in my life. Conductor. Sand digger. Truck loader. Casual laborer. Taxi driver. Bakery worker. Shoemaker. Barber. Deejay. Tailor. Lesson teacher. Street Hawker… So when you are fit and complete, and beg for money, it irritates me. Just so you know.“

Koffi in a solidarity message shared on his Facebook page wants fans to use his photo on social media as a sign of protest against his conviction.
According to The Star in Kenya, Koffi Olomide was taken to court shortly after his arrest and charged with assaulting one of his female dancers known as Pamela. Like I said, I will not say anything about our health sector, beyond the saying, WHAT IS NOT GOOD,,,, is very very bad!”

The new mum told Genevieve, “Being in the limelight, I hear different things and I wouldn’t be human if some of them didn’t get to me; especially the comments people made about how he is only with me because he wants a green card.
That was very hurtful because people don’t understand the love we have for each other. Everybody likes a good life. Who no like better tin? If he is able to get a green card for being with me, then that is a blessing but for people to assume that that is the only reason he is with me is very hurtful.”
“Gbenro has had different opportunities in his life and he could have made that ‘green card’ happen a long time ago. He always tells me that he had never envisioned himself being in love and in a relationship until he met me. He thought he might just end up having a baby mama. I didn’t ask him to marry me. He asked me to take this journey with him. People can talk all they want,” she added.
Speaking further on why she kept her pregnancy a secret from the social media before delivery, the actress said, “This is my first child and I do not want people’s opinions or judgment at this time. I have friends in the industry who were judged heavily when they were pregnant and it is not easy. I want to take back that power from the public and enjoy my pregnancy with all its challenges. Unfortunately I am aware that this is the industry we signed up for and people will always judge.”
“Let’s be real, there are bad belle people out there so to protect this blessing we chose to enjoy the moment privately,” she ended.
The Nollywood actress and her husband, Gbenro Ajibade, welcomed their daughter on June 21, 2016 in the US.
Soukous legend Koffi Olomide, 60, has been sentenced to a year in prison in Kinshasa, the capital of Congo for assaulting a woman in Nairobi, Kenya Freeze at the tallest residential building event in Lagos
Now, OAP Freeze is adding his two cents to the ongoing drama surrounding Koffi Olomide who was jailed for kicking his dancer in the stomach.
The controversial Cool FM OAP took to Instagram today, July 27, 2016 to talk about the situation. According to him, this is an opportunity to speak out against violence.
He wrote, Although I sympathize with Koffi Olomide and his family as he begins his 1 year jail term, (this has not been confirmed) for assaulting a dancer, I feel the need to draw attention to the consequences of violence towards women.
It’s a pity that Koffi Olomide has become a scapegoat for a crime many men are guilty of, however, such a high profile case would help enlighten the male public on the negative aftermath of such an action, and possibly serve as a deterrent for future offenders.
Perpetrators of violence against men too should seize this opportunity to realize that the end result of violence is never pleasant. – FRZ”
Freeze has been on a roll this year and he’s famous for his razor-sharp opinions and controversial views on hot topics in the society.

We know drinking and smoking is part of the life of so many celebrities and that you can’t change.
While some of these celebs have decided to keep their bad habits as secrets, some shockingly have nothing to be shy about when it comes to smoking.
Binta Ayo mogaji
She’s a legendary smoker, Binta is a pioneer in the smoking department.
No wonder the new generation actresses smoke, cos they emulate her. Other actresses who smoke include, Dayo Amusa, Annie Macaulay Idibia, Halima Abubakar, Cossy Orjiakor, Bimbo Oshin, Ayo Adesanya, Nse Ikpe Etim, Angela Okorie, Oge Okoye, Stella Damasus and many more.
Don’t believe in everything our celebrities portray in the media cos they also have skeleton like we also have in our cupboard. We are all humans, nobody is perfect……
Mercy is a real smoker, don’t be deceived with the good girl she acts on screen or the Dumebi attitude oooo.
She’s a pathetic smoker, she’s a hustler and I’m happy for her success story. Thank God she got married and she has a sweet family of her own now but that doesn’t stop her from smoking, her husband sef smokes.
Fathia Balogun
The mother of 3 smokes and she does not do in the presence of her kids, she respect them a lot, she’s trying so hard to be a good role model to her kids.
She does it secretly also, in her hotel room while on location, Faithia smokes so hard…
Uche jumbo
Yes! She does smoke and she kept it away from her husband.
Uche is another actress who does it secretly, she doesn’t do it publicly which I like.
Bimbo Akintola
She’s a good actress and she’s a good smoker. Bimbo is also a regular smoker, she smokes anything at anytime.
I love her anyway smoking or not smoking, I even heard one time like that men leave her alone because of her smoking habit.
Tonto Dikeh
Do I need to write on her, who doesn’t know she weeds so badly, Na cocaine remain for this lady to dey sniff.
All I have to say is, I heard there is something going on between her and that her housemaid, maybe lezbobo things, please don’t quote me cos I didn’t say anything biko.
Toyin Aimakhu
Toyin recently came out to deny that she doesn’t smoke or she’s quit smoking, well let me tell you the fact, Toyin Aimakhu is a big time smoker and she still smokes.
It is true she doesn’t smoke in the presence of her husband, she does that secretly but that doesn’t mean she’s stopped smoking.
I still remember vividly, there was a time Toyin smoked marijuana and she started misbehaving to the extent that she was swimming on the floor, she practically slept on the floor. I think this happened on a location in Ghana while shooting a movie titled “Arinzo”.
Eniola Badmus
She’s one of my favourite, popularly known as gbogbo big girl, very sweet and lovable actress but very good in smoking.
Eniola is a big time marijuana smoker according to some sources, I even heard she’s asthmatic and she’s been warned severally by her colleagues to quit smoking but she insisted.
Isn’t that worrisome? An asthmatic patient who smokes? Eniola Badmus is a role model and would always be one cos as for me I really do love her
Genevive Nnaji
Everybody loves Genevieve Nnaji but that doesn’t mean she’s perfect, the most important actress in Nollywood is a regular smoker.
Don’t be surprised okay cos Genevieve smokes codedly, its hard for you to know she smokes.
She doesn’t do her own openly, she does it secretly but she smokes really hard when she’s in the company of her friends.
Rita Dominic
I’m sure some of you won’t be surprised to find someone like Rita Dominic in this list.
She’s one hell of a bad smoker, the pretty actress doesn’t joke with her marijuana. According to those who have worked with her in the past, I heard she can smoke in your presence, she doesn’t care.
A friend of mine once told me Rita smoked in their presence when they went to her place for a magazine interview although they claimed she’s such a down to earth and a very nice person

latest special print and digital issue captures Tiwa Savage in the Burroughs of Brooklyn as she grants an exclusive look into her career, being a mother, her continuous ascension into the echelon of great musicians, and life beyond the lights.
This issue reveals Tiwa’s ability to easily govern the worlds of her stardom and normal life showing that her true versatility lies not only in her seamless ability to sing and dance with the same intensity but to live a balanced life.
Here are excerpts from the interview.
On her privacy: The art has made me a little bit more reserved because I am wearier of people and situations…I think twice before I maybe dance spontaneously in the streets because people will judge and not understand.
On African music: As a whole, if we come together as CEOs, video directors, photographers, and models all strategically placed in pockets, we can stand up and properly represent the African culture.
On never getting complacent with her success: To me, I always feel like I am still starting out…I still have so much to achieve.
On balancing career and motherhood: Sometimes people think that as an African woman, you’ve given birth and will never bounce back as before…when people say things like that they think it is supposed to tear you down but it actually does the opposite for me…It actually makes me want to prove you wrong.

“I think you’re a phenomenal person. We’ve had some of the best times of our lives together. And it does not hurt or insult me that at some point you grew to this point and I grew to this point. Popular comedian, Alibaba, has lamented the horrible culture of not supporting brilliant business ideas by Nigerian banks and the failure of the government to do anything about it.
He also took a swipe at the government for its failure to give adequate support to the Nollywood industry.
“This Nollywood that is now a pride of our country, look back, and what has Government done to help it from the days it was a Cub to now that it’s a young Lion? JUST A SIMPLE PIRACY LAW IS TAKING SO LONG TO PASS. You know why? It doesn’t contribute to votes and they can not share in the money that comes from it.
“Remember when GEJ mentioned that billions would be given to the sector? All banks and financial institutions started setting up entertainment desks. Just to position themselves to host the funds. After that time, how many of them have you heard talk about funding the entertainment sector? One or two. It was not any different, in 2004 when I approached some banks to fund, my event center. @officialbunmidavies and I went round and round pitching the event place idea to like 6 banks. They all said NO. Some were even diplomatic. They can see the passion I had, but will keep me posted. Then after all that rigmarole, I finally self funded and #xqzmoi kicked off in 2005… guess who started coming to ask me to come open accounts with them? 3 of those banks that no. I told 2 of them, I said go tell your MD to call me and you will get the account. One said she did and the MD said “That Ali is a very smart man. I will call him” he never called me. Met him once and Femi Otedola told him to his face, “Do you remember when Ali told you about the future of event centers and you said you didn’t think it was cool? Shey you see he was right!” This has been the bane of SME businesses. No body believes in small beginnings. Let’s repent!”
Alibaba noted that it was the same attitude that sees the government offer little or no support to young athletes, leaving them to struggle on their own till they get to the top.
“Some investors in Nigeria prefer to watch the foreign Lion King but will not even glance at the Nigerian Cub. Then out of dint of hard work, focus, proper application of dynamics, orchestrated strategies and Gods grace, that Nigerian Cub grows… then the same investors who did not see anything in the CUB will now be making unearned demands on the Cub. That’s the same thing that happens with our sports sector. We pay no interests to young athletes. They start to grow and when they become Lion Kings… that is when we start to invite them for national assignments. Until we Curb that MO, we will continue to neglect our CUBS. Think about it,” he wrote

Speaking to Pulse Gist, Kemi Smallz (Oluwakemi Itari Owatemi) revealed why she left City FM. “I like to say ‘when it’s time, you’ll know’. I guess it was just time, to try and experience a different radio station, learn from a new environment, reach a different set of listeners, catch a new vibe. The opportunity presented itself and I took it.”
Kemi Smallz, 27, used to handle an independent programme called ‘Nightlife Radio’ at City FM in the latter part of 2012. She became a full-time staff a year later.

Veteran actor, Patrick Doyle, has said that singer, Davido’s trending single, ‘IF’ where he claimed to have thirty billion in his account was
harming the minds of the youth Doyle said entertainers should be aware of the impact of pop culture on the society, especially on young people. He said that Davido’s song could lead many young people to engage in nefarious activities just to have that kind of money.
Entertainment is a glamour thing but a lot of the people who are inside of the business are really pawns in another person’s game because entertainment and pop culture impact the people in an insidious manner,” he told 69entertainmentblog
When you start telling a young child that ’30 billion for your account’, he is gonna grow up wanting to get 30 billion by any means necessary.
“I’m sure the boy who sang 30 billion doesn’t understand what he has done but he has put in the mind of young people that anyhow you like: Yahoo plus, kidnapping… [the money must be made]”
The actor cum broadcaster also urged young practitioners in the movie industry against looking down on their senior colleagues. He said, “Young people in the industry get a little carried away. In their minds, they believe they are the custodians of quality. Young people all over the world have been known to be a little bit overconfident so I don’t hold it against them.
“We don’t teach history anymore in Nigeria. The reason they have come into it is because it is attractive and who made it attractive. You cannot come into something you find attractive and disdain the people who made it attractive,”.

There was a strong tension in Dubai as Wizkid, his gang and that of Davido’s clashed on their way to perform at the One Africa Music fest Dubai..
The Nigerian music stars decided to test of their beef physically, and they had no other place to do it than Dubai, Music Blogger Blessing Diribe who shared the video said it was so tensed that, they exchanged blows and threw bottles at each other, It was so messy that Wizkid got a black eye..
In the video the both gangs could be heard shouting ‘OBO, Starboy’
The Cause of the fight could be traced to nothing other than the ‘i better pass am’ tag they carry for each other, and their social media everyday clash, Wizkid says Davido has got a Frog Voice, which hurts him, and in return Davido says Wizkid can’t make hit badder than him, which is also painful, so fighting dirty is just a way of expressing it..
But in Another Man’s Country? i Drop my pen..

yo Balogun, aka Wizkid’s latest song, Manya, which was recently uploaded to YouTube, has been removed.
There have been rumours trying to explain the reason the video was pulled down, however, reports say Manya was removed because of Wizkid’s agreement with Sonic music.
The contract allegedly places a limitation on the amount of local content he can release. Perhaps this is why he didn’t do a video for all his songs this year.
The video can now be found on one Mutay of Legendary Beatz’s YouTube account.
Manya video was number one trending song on YouTube before it was taken down. Now, the video is neither on Wizkid’s VEVO nor on Starboy’s YouTube.
Before it was pulled down, the video amassed over 1.5 million views within a week.
However, on Mut4y’s YouTube account, it has been viewed over 80,000 times.
